    Question

i've jsut started with super 8 and i shot a series of titles that came out blurry, my camera is a cheaper one and i was wondering how far away on the stand should the camera be from the flat title. (in this case i was shooting using a photograph with a transparency layed over top to illusrate letters and such. photos were 4'6 and the camera was zoomed to capture the whole image) what can i do to make better titles?
    thanks

Four feet away is usually enough, but you may want to back up some to be sure.
What camera are you using, and what lens is it?
My suggestions would be to first, make absolutely sure you are focusing correctly on the image.
Second, I would shoot these outdoors, to get the highest f-stop you can, for maximum sharpness.
Just make sure you dont' get any glare from the sun. Go to an area where there is lots of indirect light, but not directly in sunlight.
Make sure you have properly adjusted the eyepiece diopter, so you know when you're really in focus!
